Laura Scarlett strives to connect emotionally with each project, and to experiment with different characters within her vocal performances. She began singing as a child, and has been singing professionally for six years. She is one half of the Canadian indie pop duo Scarlett & Disher and has collaborated with prolific Canadian indie rock singer/songwriter Mark Lenover. Their work ranges from lush 60’s pop to dark, 80’s-influenced electronic pop and rock. Their music often features layered harmonies and choral vocal arrangements. Her vocals range from smooth and jazzy to crisp and poppy. Laura’s newer work, featured in her demo reel, emphasizes character-driven, wide-ranging, contemporary approaches to vocal performance.

Scarlett & Disher are signed to LA based music supervision/music licensing company Expressive Artists and their Holiday/Christmas music has been featured on Canada's national television morning show Canada AM

Laura has full access to a recording studio and engineer. She is an experienced songwriter in various pop styles. She can perform contemporary or classic vocal styles, but always strives to give a unique and interesting vocal performance. Laura is excited to collaborate and connect with talented musicians and producers!
