Vocalizr Pty Ltd (Vocalizr) is committed to protecting and maintaining your privacy. Vocalizr collects your personal information for the purpose of creating your membership and allowing other Vocalizr members to see your profile and potentially work with you on a gig. This Privacy Policy (Policy) outlines the type of personal information that Vocalizr may collect and details how it is used, stored and disclosed. By clicking ‘I agree’, you agree to be bound by the Policy and the Vocalizr Website Terms and Conditions of Use. This Policy may be altered at any time and will take effect from the time that it is posted on the Vocalizr website (Website) and remain in effect during your use of the Site and/or membership of Vocalizr. You are responsible for ensuring that you regularly review the Policy as your continued use of the Website will be deemed to constitute your acceptance of any alterations. If you object to any alteration(s) or become dissatisfied with your membership, you can stop using the Website and/or terminate your membership in accordance with the Vocalizr Website Terms and Conditions of Use.

This may include (but is not limited to) your name, age, gender, postcode and contact details (including phone numbers and email addresses) and possibly financial information, including your bank account information provided by you. If the information we collect personally identifies you, or you are reasonably identifiable from it, the information will be considered personal information. Vocalizr does not consider any work performed, recorded and/or transmitted through the Vocalizr Website to be personal information.

  • email address;
  • IP address;
  • your collection society member number;
  • telephone number;
  • age or birth date;
  • profession, occupation or job title;
  • details of the products and/or services you have purchased from us or which you have enquired about, together with any additional information necessary to deliver those products and/or services and to respond to your enquiries;
  • any additional information relating to you that you provide to us directly through our Website or indirectly through use of our Website or online presence through our representatives or otherwise;
  • information you provide to us through your attendance at our premises or surveys.

 

4. INFORMATION OBTAINED VIA COOKIES

We may collect your personal information through the use of cookies. When you access our website, we may send a ‘cookie’ which contains your unique computer ID and/or your IP address. This enables us to recognise your computer so that you do not need to re-register to use the Website. It also helps us keep track of products or services you view, so that we can send you news about those products or services. We also use cookies to measure Website page visits to measure total visits from all Website users. This research is used to research Website usage and improve our online services. We may also collect anonymous data (which is not personal information) relating to your activity on our Website (including IP addresses) via cookies, or we may collect information from you in response to a survey. We use this information to report statistics, analyse trends, administer our services, diagnose problems, target and improve the quality of our products and services. The primary purpose for which we collect information about you is to enable us to perform our business activities and functions and to provide best possible quality of customer service. Your personal information will not be shared, sold, rented or disclosed other than as described in this Policy. We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:

  • to ensure the enforceability of any Agreement entered into by you;
  • to communicate with you including by email, mail or telephone;
  • to verify your identity and to provide your updated personal information to us, our contractors or external service providers;
  • to provide products and services to you including management and enhancement of our products and services;
  • to provide you with news, information or advice about our existing and new products and services;
  • to provide you with access to protected areas of our Website including personalisation and customisation of your experience;
  • to conduct competitions or promotions on behalf of Vocalizr and selected third parties;
  • to provide as part of business data to third parties if you have authorised us to do so, including marketing (including direct marketing), promotional, planning, product/service development, quality control and research purposes, or those of our contractors or external service providers;
  • to conduct business processing functions for operation of our Website or our business;

7. WHAT HAPPENS IF WE ARE NOT ABLE TO COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

If you do not provide us with the personal information described in this Policy, the following may happen:

  • we may not be able to provide you with the products or services you requested, either to the same standard, or at all;
  • we may not be able to provide you with information about products and services that you may want, including information about discounts sales or special promotions; or
  • we may be unable to tailor the content of our Website to your preferences and your experience may not be as enjoyable or useful.

 

8. HOW TO SEEK ACCESS TO AND CORRECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Where we hold information that you are entitled to access, we will try to provide you with suitable means of accessing it (for example, by mailing or emailing it to you). We will not charge for simply making a request and will not charge for making any corrections to your personal information. If you make an access request, we will ask you to verify your identity. We may disclose personal information to our related bodies corporate and external service providers located overseas for some of the purposes listed above. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipients of your personal information do not breach the privacy obligations relating to your personal information. We may disclose your personal information to entities located outside of Australia, including our data hosting and Cloud-based IT service providers.

The Website may contain links to other websites operated by third parties. We make no representations or warranties in relation to the privacy practices of any third party website and we are not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of any third party website. Third party websites are responsible for informing you about their own privacy practices.

 

11. CHANGES TO THE POLICY

We may change this Policy from time to time. Any updated versions of this Policy will be posted on the Website. This Policy was last updated in March 2016.

 

12. OUR COMPLAINTS PROCESS

If you believe your privacy has been breached by us and/or have any questions or concerns about our Policy, please contact us using the contact information below and provide details of your complaint so that we can investigate it. Our representative will contact you within a reasonable time after receipt of your complaint to discuss your concerns and outline options regarding how they may be resolved. If a breach is found, we will escalate the matter to senior management so that the process can be rectified to prevent any further breaches. We will also contact you to inform you of the outcome of the investigation. We will endeavour to resolve all investigations in a fair and reasonable manner and as quickly as possible. All complaints are treated confidentially.
