I was taken away from my mother at birth and was moved between six foster homes before the age of two. I was adopted into an Irish Catholic home with a 75 year old upright piano which I learned to play on. I started playing church songs by ear and went on to video game music. In my teens, I was taken to a jazz piano teacher and years later, joined choirs, a reggae band and a jazz band.
