I am 30yrs old and a DJ/Producer from south east UK. I don't have access to a studio but produce music on my MacBook and know what I am doing if working with someone who does have studio access. I make a variety of styles all heavily bass & rhythm focused from house, garage, trip hop, hip hop, techno, D&B etc. I think genres are outdated its about blurring the lines and not following stereotypical formulas and structures that everyone else is otherwise your music is going to sound like everyone else's.
