Bay Area native singer, writer, and producer Shay's love of sound stems from generations of music makers. Growing up, everyone in her family sang, played an instrument, or both! Every genre of music painted the backdrop of her childhood memories. Her grandmother, an LA native who studied under Ethel Leginska, filled their home with Classical music growing up. Youth rides in her Dad's Bronco consisted of music from the rock, soul, and folk greats, and her Mom infused the home with praise songs. Such a gift has allowed Shay to feel, process, and share in connectednes through sonic expression. Leading heart first, Shay's music embraces listeners like the warm sun with a touch of ethereal groove.
