From the age of 5, I began training in voice lessons, musical theater, show choirs, chamber choirs and church choirs, all of which helped me to develop crisp pitch, control and a keen ear for harmony. Looking to be more creative and have a bit more fun with vocals, I've spent the past decade breaking into songwriting and edgier performance, including live improv. I've had stints as the lead singer in jam/funk/rock/soul bands and am currently the frontwoman of a folk/americana duo.
I love a wide range of musical genres and sing particularly well in: blues, soul, funk, folk, pop, indie, rock and Americana.
I record quickly from my home studio using a Neumann TLM 102 and an AKG C414, often providing a first draft of tracks in 24 hours, and always within 3 days depending on my schedule.
