Hi everyone,
For this track, I’m looking for a male vocalist who can both rap in the verses and provide a soulful R&B chorus.
About my sound:
The genres I draw influence from include glitch hop, neurofunk, nu disco, hip-hop, rock, ambient, dubstep, jazz, and electronica. My artistic influences include Tycho, Shpongle, Pretty Lights, Glitch Mob, Aphex Twin, Seven Lions & Poolside, among others with similar sounds. If you haven’t heard their sounds, I suggest you do!
If you’re interested in submitting a sample/demo for this track, please read the specifications below before submitting:
1) My sound is not a standard pop sound, and it doesn’t exactly follow conventional format at all times. Also, this track is a little bit longer than what would usually be suitable for radio play.
2) You have the right to not only choose your own lyrics but also the title of the song. However, I reserve the right to alter both at my discretion (and it’s likely I will to some extent). You also have the right to provide lyrics throughout the entirety of the track, but as mentioned above, I may rearrange and alter the vocals in the final release.
3) I don’t have any lyrics prepared, so you’ll need to write the verses and chorus yourself (I realize this is a tall request given the $150 reward amount).
4) The song isn’t mastered yet, but obviously will be once I’ve arranged the vocals.
5) The winner will be awarded $150 plus M&P royalties of 50%.
6) Please submit both the acapella and the combined vocal/instrumental .mp3 file once completed.
Finally, since this track is part of an upcoming album, your name will be featured in the title of the release. If you’re okay with these specifications, you may enter the contest. I look forward to hearing what you’ve got!
