Dre’ from Jerz is a hip-hop/rap recording artist, music producer, and songwriter. His style is mainly boom-bap rap or conscious rap, with a somewhat offbeat and unique flow. He is versatile. He can rap outside his comfort zone. He draws his musical inspiration from old-school and modern artists such as Kanye West, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan, Ruff Ryders, Lauryn Hill, Eminem, and 2Pac. In high school, there were countless days when friends and associates would stop by his house in New Jersey to freestyle rap. Although Dre’ from Jerz listens to hardcore rap, he doesn’t consider himself a gangster rapper or a pursuer of trap rap. His style is predominately rooted in the 90’s era boom-bap rap.
