I’ve always been fascinated with mother earth, and technology. By merging digital sounds with my own incantations, I feel it brings something unique to the table. I consider my sound to be "New Age/Trip Hop". While still having the mystical aspect, but taking it to another deep dark electronic place. I guess I'm a digital

The adaptive unconscious is the phenomenon of your unconscious mind making a decision that could drastically change your life in a matter of a second. For instance, you are driving on the freeway, & you feel the urge to switch lanes but not for any particular reason. All of a sudden the car that was in front of you prior, crashes & causes a pile up. Had you stayed in that lane, your life could have come to an end. It’s the unknown desire to do something, & not knowing why. It’s almost a psychic pull from deep within us, that we all have, or will experience.

I’ve been writing since 2006, I started out using nothing but presets, a cheap mic, & no idea what I was doing. To this day, I still have no idea what I’m doing. I have gone through quite the list of names for myself such as “Fall Of Icarus, Ouroboros, Prophet Six, & Echo Lost Stasis” to name a few. I held on to “Prophet Six” for years as merely a placeholder. The Prophet 6000 was a synthesizer in the 80’s that could play 6 sounds at once. I got attached to “Adaptive Unconscious” because it spoke to me, not just because of the meaning, but because of my music, it’s almost asleep, as it is alive, which is what I take from these two words. I record in my closet using yet another cheap mic, and some reference speakers and a good amount of plug-ins, other than that I am basically doing it all the hard way. Everything is input with a mouse, I don’t play anything live. So if you are hearing a piano playing, that could have taken days to do, because I have to arrange each note one by one, and try to get it to sound authentic. I also have a knack for making my own samples & mucking up the sound digitally somehow. I'll take everyday items and make them into something much more. For instance, a spoon in a glass, or dragging my nails down a guitar string.

If you are taking the time to listen, please know that I appreciate the time you take, & all I ask is to keep your mind open with it. This has always been about longing to connect with the listener, to find understanding in a stranger by letting them tap into my personal self, or perhaps tap into theirs, with no means of being invasive. If any of the trials I have had to face could possibly help someone through theirs, then it was never for nothing. The more I progress in life, & music the more I learn and it's all a great path, & one I am happy to share.
