The FUNKIEST Viking you'll ever meet.

It all started with a CD of beats that a neighbor gave me when I was 14 years old in Colorado Springs. On it was classic beats from Jay Z, Cypress Hill etc, many of the songs I had never heard so to my mind it was a blank canvas of amazing sounds. I started writing my first rhymes never once considering it would become my life.
It truth those rhymes that I wrote ages 14 and 15 were some of the most powerful songs I’ve written. Incredibly sad, dark and surprisingly well written given my age. That was before I realized I was any good and the rhymes were just an outlet for my depression. Ages 16- 18 saw some of my worst I actually started to “try” being a rapper.
Most teenagers are depressed. Which is understandable given how prison like many schools can feel. My case was a bit more severe as I was genuinely despised by my peers and the staff alike. I didn’t do much to help my case either. 1 expulsion, several suspensions and a wicked beating by 6 older kids eventually lead to my drop out at 15.
Thankfully I had been homeschooled up until middle school and I had the solid foundation of a classical education in Latin, Logic and Classical Literature from my mom and a very practical education from my dad the master Electrician who can build anything. Dropping out probably saved my life but because of my foundation my intellect didn’t suffer.
The details of how bad my life really was as a teenager are too personal, too incriminating and far too dark to detail publicly at this point in my life. But Ages 1-9 were quite ideal.
Flash forward to age 17 in North Carolina when I got my very first keyboard and eventually stole my dad’s guitar. At this point I had recorded dozens of songs on my own and even did my first live show at Cervantes in Denver Colorado at age 16. Young rapper meets instruments and friendlessness in Charlotte Strange things began happening.
I started making very strange beats indeed and eventually just went full into acoustic singer/songwriting. The album “Black Music” by Chocolate Genius inc. informed me that a voice like mine could sing and away I went. At age 11 I heard Q- Tip’s “Even if it is so” which completely changed my life (previously I had despised rap), the Album “Black Music” had a similar, life changing effect, as I began to sing to the record and realized that I had a voice.
Two incredible (albeit unsuccessful) bands later and here I sit 15 years in, dozens of albums recorded and never released (imposter syndrome), and hundreds & hundreds of songs under my belt. I dug up a “best of” CD of mine from 2009-2016 which reminded me of just how crazy my life has been. I’ve written and recorded songs in Colorado, Hawaii, Poland and North Carolina, played with some absolutely spectacular musicians from whom I got my real education and I’m finally over the fucking imposter syndrome.
I am a rapper, pianist, singer, songwriter, bassist, guitarist, voice actor and engineer and it’s about damn time I accept the fact that I am talented bastard who’s only saboteur is myself.
This bio has left out a lot. More stories for another time and place. It is simply here to inform you of who I am and perhaps to explain why my music sounds the way it does.
On January 1st, 2020 I released my first solo song (since myspace lol). “Carpe Diem” is currently available on Soundcloud and will be released to all other platforms soon.
If you have read this far please know that I am eternally grateful for your eyes and ears and I humbly ask that you go to my website and sign up for my email list, follow me on IG and Soundcloud and please share my music. A career in music is nothing with the support of someone like YOU.
I love you

More on my bio
I was born in the Blue Ridge mountains. I can remember swimming in the crystal clear, frigid waters of
the Davidson River as a young child and wanting to climb to the top of every mountain in that valley.
I always loathed the idea of borders, invisible walls dividing us for what seemed to be no reason.
And though my early life was idyllic. My family moved to Colorado and fell apart.
At the age of 13 I had a home to sleep in, but I was essentially on my own to skip school, get high and
learn the ways of the street. That same curiosity that drove me to dive deep in the river and climb high
up the mountain also got me into some incredible trouble as a boy. To this day I’m just happy to be alive
and not in prison, a fate many of my peers didn’t share.
That curiosity drove me across the US. I worked as a ranch hand, a bouncer, a solar installer, bartender,
an electronics repairman and eventually a world traveller, writing music the whole time.
In 2015 at age 25 I moved to Poland to help run a country hotel and restaurant. The owner turned out to
be an insane former communist official who expected me to work for food and nothing else. I left in
short order and with no money and barely a High School diploma I would go from sleeping in a park in
Warsaw to teaching English to Kindergarteners, Middle schoolers and CEOs, eventually building a
beautiful life for myself in a country where I knew no one.
Through some dumb luck I became an Actor. I found out I could make a lot of money with my voice and I
started to do commercials for brands like Volvo Trucks USA, Husqvarna, Novant Health, Visit
Mississippi, Perkin’s Restaurants, US National Parks, WIX Air filters, Bojangles Restaurants, Hardees
Restaurants and many others.
