OSX High Sierra Is Out! But Don't Upgrade Just Yet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's always tempting to jump into a fancy new O/S, but if history anything to go by - it's best to hold off until everything else catches up.
Mac musicians keen to make the leap should do a full backup first, and be prepared for some incompatibility issues straight out of the gates. Unfortunately for us, some companies prefer to take their time to upgrade their software to be in-line with the latest OS updates.
The all-new Apple File System (APFS) brings flash-based macs into the 21st century, superseding the now 30-year-old HFS+ file system that's been the backbone of OSX since the operating sytem first entered the market. Due to this, behind the scenes it's less likely that software will be instantly compatible, so proceed with caution, or wait until you know everything's all set to go.
