Chiara La Piana is a pop singer/songwriter, recording artist, musical arranger. Chiara was born on February 17th, 1989 and raised in Italy, by her Hawaiian, Filipino, Chinese mother, Momi Gazmen, a singer and Hawaiian dancer and her Italian father, Nino La Piana, a jazz pianist, composer, and arranger.
Chiara studied at the Conservatory of Music in Alessandria, Italy, and graduated in “Jazz music specializing in singing.” Her certification qualified her to teach choir, vocal training, and creative music to children which she did for 2 years, at a top private school, The International School of Turin.
For 7 years she was part of a cover disco band called ‘Way to Hollywood’ that traveled throughout northern Italy and successfully played in many discotheques and at town festivals, where she accumulated her considerable abilities to perform on stage.
She debuted at several jazz concerts with experienced musicians and in 2013, Chiara was called to be the vocalist of the famous Italian singer Matteo Brancaleoni at the biggest jazz club in Italy, the Blue Note in Milan.
During her early years, Chiara was the leader of a Hawaiian girls dance group that performed regularly on TV for over a year.
At the age of 9, her parents introduced her to her violin and for 3 years, was fortunate to study at the Conservatory of Turin. Also, The Regio’s Theatre of Turin gave her the opportunity to be part of the main Children's Choir of Turin and she debuted in many well-known Operas and Musicals. She also loves to contribute to events of world peace through her music.
In 2002, Chiara’s life changed. Her mother decided to return to Hawaii, and for 4 years she couldn’t continue to play the violin or perform for personal reasons, however, she discovered her passion for writing music. Then, she discovered another passion: acting. For 3 years, she performed in various acting competitions and won 3rd and 1st place awards for best performances of Shakespeare's monologues.
In 2006 Chiara returned home to Italy, where she graduated. After graduation, she left Italy for 6 months and went to live in Paris to experience French culture. There at a French music school, she continued to study music, acting in English, and she also wrote 6 songs in her home studio, discovering composing using music software, which was something for her.
Chiara’s latest songs were produced and recorded in professional recording studios in Korea and in Italy, including her father’s. She published two mini albums with the label Iruncom Entertainment and the collaboration of Warner Music Korea. The songs were written and produced by Chiara and the producer Los Park. Instruments were recorded by professional musicians and arranged in a recording studio. They were all mixed by Js Laboratory Studio in Seoul.
2020 is the perfect year for new opportunities. Chiara decided to show more of her work and experience different realities. She is looking for challenges and success for her own music. Chiara is looking for a producer that invests time and money in the growth of her talent.
