Meredith Hope Raney was the only child born in The Motor City in 1989 to Carl and Melanie Raney, a school teacher and a hospital worker. Very early on, they realized Meredith had a special gift, a true knack for music and the performing arts. She used to film home movies and tv shows with her friends in the living room, and performed songs in their backyard for the neighborhood. They enrolled her in piano lessons at age 7 and she sang her first solo in the choir at age 9, by age 12 she was singing in the choirs, playing flute in the school band, and studying piano classically after school, which she continued all the way through High School. Meredith was enrolled in Barbizon Acting Modeling And Talent Agency's curriculum at age 13, heading to the outskirts of Detroit every weekend for classes in acting for film, tv, singing, and dancing. Meredith attended IMTA (International Modeling And Talent Association Convention) in 2003 in New York City and that's when she knew her destiny was in the entertainment industry. Meredith's dad bought her a four track recorder in 2003 and at the age of 13 she was writing and recording her own songs in her bedroom. From a connection made at IMTA, Meredith began recording in the studio at age 14 and learning the proper studio vocal techniques, traveling to Southfield, MI to record her original material every weekend. As she also grew as a singer and writer, Meredith's parents knew she would thrive with further music education, so upon graduating High School, she moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. While at Berklee, Meredith received the ASCAP Scholarship, performed original material at Singers Night, the top vocal honor at Berklee, opened up for Universal Records recording artist Jeremih in 2009 and graduated with a degree in Songwriting in 2011. Upon graduation, Meredith moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams full time and has been writing, singing, and working her way into stardom. Meredith wrote for Malaysian Topstar 2004 winner, Prema Yin on her 2011 single "Prove It To Me", which received radio airplay in Malaysia. Meredith also wrote two songs for British pop sensation Ellapaige, on her debut 2013 EP "Made You Look" which was a success on Youtube as well as iTunes. Meredith continues to write songs for placement with artists around the world as well as television shows, movies, and commercials.
