THANKS TO THE FANTASTIC VOCALISTS WHO HAVE BID FOR THIS 'GIG'. I WAS SURPRISED HOW HIGH THE QUALITY IS.
UNFORTUNATELY, I CAN ONLY CHOOSE ONE (WHICH I WILL DO 1ST SEPTEMBER, UK TIME).
MUSIC IS A LONG TERM GAME, SO I AM SURE I WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO WORK WITH MORE OF YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE INTRODUCED YOURSELF.
I have written hundreds of instrumentals for stock music libraries but only one or two with vocals, hence this.
I have posted a version of the track here with my guide vocal, to give my view of how the lyrics would fit over the music. However, please don't be influenced by the fact that I have sung it in a lower octave.
PLEASE NOTE, the Soundcloud link above is to the instrumental track without singing over it.
My initial view is it would suit a lady vocalist who would carry some of the lines into a much higher octave, but I am completely open minded. Also, I have no fixed view on the vocal style.
Forgive the low budget, but with my likely target market of stock music libraries, and my newness to ballads with vocals, the income is likely to be slow. However, I do hope that if this goes well, I will start doing more of these collaborations.
Below are my lyrics:
V1
Call me, just call me something.
Something that I'd call you, only you.
Tell me you're thinking, of me, only me.
V2
Call me, just call me someone.
Speak as if you know me ... and my name.
Tell me what you're feeling.
Let me know you're there.
Chorus
Out of site, I'm out of your mind.
The light's gone out of my life.
My hopes and my fears fall as tears.
One, two, three ... please come to me.
V3
Sleeping, I weep beside you.
Beside myself, you know that I'm alone.
Dreaming, only sleepless.
Praying that you'll phone.
Chorus
Out of sight, I'm out of my mind.
The light's gone out of my life.
My hopes and my fears fall as tears.
One, two, three ... please come to me.
One, two, three ... please come to me.
