For the play "Romeo und Julia" I composed a song which is currently being performed at a Theater in Germany. For the international marketing I am looking for a contemporary text with a beautiful voice. . Get in touch! The piano voice on the track will be the vocal part.
The Soundcloud links is the original song how it was sung by the actress in the play. It can give you some inspiration.
At the moment the song has a text - written by Shakespear. We need to change it.
The " old" text is:
vers1
my beloved, where are you roaming?
O, stay and hear; your true love's coming,
That can sing both high and low:
Trip no further, pretty sweeting;
ref
Journeys end in lovers meeting,
Every wise man's son doth know.
Then, come kiss me, sweet and twenty,
Youth's a stuff will not endure.
vers2
What is love? 'Tis not hereafter;
Present mirth hath present laughter;
What's to come is still unsure:
In delay there lies not plenty;
Journeys end in lovers meeting,
Every wise man's son doth know.
Then, come kiss me, sweet and twenty,
Youth's a stuff will not endure.
