Looking for a voice/style in the neighbourhood of for example:
Mike Perry - Stay Young
Seeb - Rich Love
Axwell Ingrosso - More Than You Know
The Chainsmokers - Don't Let Me Down (Illenium Remix)
I've been picturing a female singer on the track, I subconsciously feel it fits better somehow, but Im open to male singers for sure.
The chorus sets the vibe for the song on its own, vocal is needed for the verse/pre-chorus'
"good vibe" lyrics is an option, but I picture the vibe of the song to be afraid of trying something new. Something that people who's moving to a new place where they gotta get new friends, go to a new school and maybe get a job could relate to.
This feeling of being insecure, or complicated love? Thats my immediate thoughts of lyrics topics when i listen.
A goal you want to reach but to make it you have to risk a lot, is an ideal kind of topic.
I got a vocal pattern example of how the vocal could go on the track if that is interesting. I will fit the vocal neatly into the track so Im openminded to adjustments and improvements. The idea of the track is almost where i want it, needs minor factors like louder volume and a fatter/compact sound. Also thinking about swapping out the "choir" on the verses to something more like a faded/muted piano like sound.
I think it all comes down to the lyrics to decides if this track is a survivor, the ability to reach out with words is heavily underrated, most powerful of them all is the ones that the listener can relate to (slightly emotional). Its very easy to relate to parts of a story compared to surfacing words.
