Akemi is a self-taught, aspiring musician from Paris. Based in Boston, she uses her music as a way to express her state of mind and her emotions. Inspired by Dua Lipa, Madison Beer and Charlotte Lawrence, she takes on a fresh approach to pop. Always being interested in music she started taking it seriously at the age of 16 by doing covers with only a piano and a microphone, she now is writing original songs with an array of instruments including piano, guitar and ukulele. She decided to apply for Berklee college for music and used whether she got In as a decision for continuing music seriously or giving up. She’s now devoted to music full time and it’s defining who she is.
