Note: My projects involve a contract, a project plan and Skype/Zoom sessions and typically takes around 3 months and need to partially run outside of Vocalizr - I choose quality over quantity, and I prefer to work with humans and at least using voice message, not talking only to an email or text. However, payments and asset exchange for GIGs from here will be done in Vocalzr.
You can check the "Project Management" section on my blog "https : // sonicdreamerstudio . com", or Facebook page (look for "Sonicdreamer"). In the blog, there is also a video link where you can see me playing a few different instruments in my studio (sax, guitar, keyboard etc.).
I have a recording engineer diploma from the Audio Institute of America, and I was a 2010 Honour Student. I have done a number of productions for local artists in my studio and international artists via the Internet. This includes building sound tracks, recording vocals and instruments and doing the mixing as well as the mastering.
In my studio I use Pro Tools and Reason Studios to create the sound of a full band that will let your voice shine through. I also play some real instruments including guitar, sax, blues harmonica, bass guitar and of course keyboard and can add that to the production. To keep it original, I try not to use off the shelf samples & loops. In the studio I record vocals, instruments and small bands (up to 4 members) live.
If you are a singer song writer, I can help you to make your song alive. Look at my Sound Cloud profile "sonic-dreamer". There is a playlist "Productions from Sonic Dreamer", some of them have been working with me through Vocalizr - many were free projects.
After collaboration once you're happy with your new music track, I'll give you a transposed copy to fit your vocal range, You then need to practice and get to know the song and finally lay down your vocals as a separate recording. For me to integrate and process your vocals to your new track:
- you need to be able to record your voice using a good microphone of course (unless you can get to my studio for a session). You might need some help with this (a studio is the best option)
- the WAV files must be 48Khz sample rate at 24 bits
- I will need 2 dry takes of you voice: the same lyrics and melody sang by you 2 times, as different cuts will be used from those 2 takes, to build a complete track. You must not sing harmony on the same track. When I clean up your vocals, pitch adjustment, EQ and so on must be done one a single voice at a time.
I will guide you with this. Finally I will share the completed mixdown with you, and if requested make final adjustments according to what you want. Once you are happy, the high quality mixdown of the production will be stored in this site's Studio's "Asset" section for you.
Finally, I can only work on a few projects at a time as like most people, I have a day job. I will not take you on if I don't have the capacity. If you really want to apply for a free production, contact me on my blog - I might just be interested.
