KRYSTA YOUNGS is an artist with a true voice. The Berklee graduate has sprinkled her talents across the country, from humble beginnings at songwriter rounds in Nashville, Tennessee, to the gritty and inspiring streets of Los Angeles and the creative minds that wander them. But, it was her work with The Writing Camp’s David Quinones that helped her define a sound and develop a unique, effervescent voice. Her eclectic alternative pop music has been featured on hit television shows like MTV’s The Real World, Lalaloopsy, ESPN, and Keeping Up with the Kardashians; where her emotional, unique vocals have captivated audiences. The time spent in Los Angeles has served her well, providing an opportunity to write with, and for, other creatives like Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo, and Rihanna. Just to name a few.

Her newest single, “Xanax (A Love Song),” is a slow-jam ballad with cinematically booming beats and floating vocals that swoop and wail across a reverberating intensity. The eccentric sonic palette is wrapped up in inspiring lyrics that speak to the power of perseverance and unconditional love. “Just leave your heart wide open, my love comes in doses,” she croons, elevating the dramatic atmosphere of the track in a collision of concepts and sounds. A powerful sense of vulnerability is exposed within the lyrics of this inspiring love song, shedding light on that compelling moment when you find peace within yourself, and discover the strength to conquer all your demons. Krysta’s vocals carry the weight of the drama, meandering between soft spoken emotional expressions and stark, unequivocal howls for attention. Be sure to take a listen to Krysta Youngs “Xanax (A Love Song)” now!
