Hi, I'm Allison :-) I'm an eclectic singer and love to dabble in many different genres, predominantly jazz, bossa nova, folk, and blues. I have been singing on and off for about 12 years and have worked with professional jazz musicians in the South of France with whom I recorded an album. I'm American-born, but today I live in a rural part of North-West France. Because of my location, I find it difficult to access a quality community of musicians and producers. I'm looking for opportunites to collaborate with professional musicians online and record remotely. And who knows? Maybe one day, when the world health crisis has settled down, I would be able to travel and collaborate in real life.

I have a natural, warm vocal tone, and like to make my audiences feel mellow and relaxed. Some of my inspirations are Diana Krall, Madeleine Peyroux, Elis Regina, Joao/Astrude Gilberto, Chet Baker, Harry Connick Jr., Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, and Anita O'Day. I'm also completely bilingual in French and English, and enjoy interpreting "la Chanson Francaise", for example songs by Jacques Brel, Barbara, Georges Brassens, Michel le Grand and Maxime le Forestier. I'm also a huge fan of Broadway musicals, and some of my favorite songs to sing with a jazz swing are former Broadway songs or songs from old Hollywood movies, ex: "My Favorite Things", "Falling in Love with Love", "'Til There Was You", and more.
